Stretching pelvic floor is painful and not necessary with vaginismus
I regularly hear painful stories from women with vaginismus.
"They should stretch their vagina, pelvic floor muscles so that they can have intercourse."
"The pelvic floor muscles are too cramped and stretching them would make them wider."
The mere idea of having to do that causes many women to drop out of care. Those who do try this stretching often don't notice any improvement. But they have had another disappointing experience, which could also have been literally painful. When I explain that these pelvic floor muscles do not have to be stretched with vaginismus, but rather relaxed, I see the women looking in amazement. I literally see them relaxing before my eyes. I explain in the video below not stretch but relax.
